All Hitched Up and........

Nowhere to go!!  We hitched up on Friday 13th June - perhaps an ominous date to plan to leave Townsville.  We've had some work done on our vehicle - a long range fuel tank (175 litres), upgraded suspension and a rear wheel hanger for our #1 spare wheel - in anticipation of our trip across the Top End to the west coast.  On checking the lights - the very last thing before our departure, we discovered that we had no left indicator on the caravan, we later discovered that we also had no light over our relocated number-plate on the car.  Our departure was delayed a day when the auto-electrician discovered a fault in a junction box, caused when the work was done, and fixed it all up for us.

Take 2!!!

We farewelled our family in Townsville again on Saturday 14th and we're off to the Atherton Tablelands via the Hervey Range, Gregory and Kennedy Highways.  We camped overnight in a gravel pit near the Undera turn off on the Savannah Way.  We'll be back here in a couple of weeks when we head west.  On Sunday we arrived at Lake Tinaroo where we'll be camped for a couple of weeks at friends' property.  The weather is cool (about 16C) and drizzling.  We were welcomed by a mob of pretty faced wallabies.
