42km north of Katherine and then 20km east of the Stuart Highway is Edith Falls, or Leliyn. The Edith, Katherine and Flora Rivers were named by John McDouall Stuart after the daughters of his benefactor who was a South Australian Member of Parliament.
The carpark and campground are about 45 minutes drive from Katherine. There are several pools - lower and upper, which offer great swimming, and some lovely grassy areas for sitting or picnicking. At this tme of year the falls are a mere trickle.
