Gawler

After we left Moonta and the Yorke Peninsula we made our way to Mallala, a small town about 80km from Adelaide.  We camped at the sports ground free camp for a few days with friends from Alice Springs.

While at Mallala we visited some very long time friends at nearby Balaklava.  On our way back to the caravan we detoured to Port Wakefield, where Cherryl was born and tracked down the house she lived in as a baby.

From Mallala we moved on to Gawler, a town about 50km north of Adelaide and the Gateway to the Barossa Valley.  Our friends Jan and Craig are moving to a home here so we'll be in Gawler for a week.  While in Gawler, Cherryl and Jan caught the train to Adelaide to do some city shopping.
