Kalbarri National Park

About 150km north of Geraldton is the Kalbarri National Park which is notable for its display of wildflowers.  Unfortunately the  wildflower display finished early this year so although we've seen plenty of flowers we haven't seen the massed displays the area is famous for.

The Murchison River runs through the national park.  Over the millennia spectacular gorges have been cut through the sandstone.

There are several lookouts with short walks from the carparks.  We rock-hopped along the path to see "Nature's Window" with its fantastic views through the "hole" in the rock.

On our way to the various lookouts we passed through what can only be described as gardens.  There are plenty of flowers around.

From the national park and its gorges we drove to the coast and into the town of Kalbarri.  On our way back to the caravan we drove along the coast and stopped off at some of the viewpoints way to look at the  rugged coastal scenery.
